  1. Horrendous Happenings

    September 26, 2010 by Asim

Argh, well last night never went that badly in Manchester the jokes I did got good reactions every single one of them.

I just forgot 2 sections, and that pisses me off. My timing was off as was my delivery, the crowd never picked on it, but I judge my sets on how well i do them, not how how the audience thinks I did. It did feel odd standing on stage getting feedback in an X factor style scenario, I do try and get off stage as quickly as possible as well.

I think I’m going to avoid doing competitions from now on. In other news, my shevani arrived a few days ago.

Pictures from my best friend Roberts wedding will be shared soon! Well once it happens only 6 days to go!

  2. Manchester Baby!

    September 24, 2010 by Asim

My first gig in the fine city of Manchester tomorrow. I’m very excited in an odd way.

Talking of I’ve got no real link between that statement and the following statement other than the fact Jason is English.

Jason Murphy a lovely comedian (and great guy) to boot has started a blawg chronicling When Good Gigs Go Bad. Tis gewd reading! Hopefully you’ll find it as Awesome as I do.

  3. Self-imposed veganism

    September 17, 2010 by Asim

I set myself the bar of going from the 6th of August to the 6th of December as a vegan. I have stumbled along the way, eating a Tuna sandwich last weekend. But what i’m really struggling with is the lack of dairy, in all honesty I’m wanting to quit cos soy milk is disgusting beyond belief.

In this era of “enlightenment” Its prudent to note that if we were all to go vegetarians, and replaced excess grazing land for animals destined to end up in a half eaten burger, with crops we’d have enough food to feed the world 4 times over.

I’ll admit to the dirty fact that I do like meat and I love fish so I go with a few month stints of vegetarianism before returning to cooked carcasses for protein. While I can’t commit to the vegetarian lifestyle for longer than 2 years, I’ve never tried veganism before. Its doubtful i’ll last another week let alone the 3 months I have remaining.

    Sad times

  5. Paying for the Privilege

    September 4, 2010 by Asim

I know in this day and age of distractions that people find it hard to connect with others. Its perhaps why social networking is so popular, but I came across this a few minutes ago, and well it made me giggle.

    Gamecrush

All you need to get started is a computer and either a webcam or the console you want to play. You can play the casual online games we offer right here on our site, but you can also play on other platforms as well. The more games you are available to play, the more GameCrush Players will want to play you!

From what I can gleam its an escort service for gamers. I dunno, it made me giggle, why people who play multiplayer online games (usually for a fee) would want to pay for for the privilege of playing with other people?

It was beyond my minuscule mind who came up with the business plan for that, but then it dawned on me, its no doubt going to be lonely men who’d use this service, and they are going to want to have contact and play with women. Really is this a form of internet “prostitution”? I’m not certain but it seems like a less risqué version of “cam-girls“.
